Kunming Railway Vocational and Technical College was founded in 1958. It is a public junior vocational college sponsored by the Kunming Municipal People’s Government and under the guidance of the Yunnan Provincial Department of Education. .
The college has two campuses, the main campus is located in Kunming Economic and Technological Development Zone, covering an area of 300.67 acres; Yangfu campus is located in Xiaobanqiao (formerly Yunnan Provincial School of Posts and Telecommunications) in Guandu District, Kunming, covering an area of 82.75 acres. The college has a building area of 169,500 square meters, fixed assets of 601 million yuan, a library collection of more than 330,000 books, information-based multimedia teaching facilities covering all teaching and training places, track and field stadiums, indoor gymnasiums and other cultural and sports facilities.
