Honghe Health Vocational College

Honghe Health Vocational College (school code 14413) is a full-time public higher vocational college established on the basis of the original Honghe Prefecture Health School with the approval of the People's Government of Yunnan Province and the record of the Ministry of Education. In the course of running the school for more than 60 years, more than 40,000 health technical talents have been trained and delivered to the society.


Honghe Vocational College of Health was officially established in May 2012, and was relocated to the new campus of Xinglin Road in Mengzi City in September 2015. It is currently the only medical and health vocational college in Honghe Prefecture and southern Yunnan. In December 2015, the school passed the qualification assessment of the talent training work of the Yunnan Provincial Department of Education. In July 2018, it passed the review of the diagnosis and improvement of the construction of the internal teaching quality system of the Yunnan Provincial Department of Education. Since he was promoted to a junior college, he has successively won honorary titles such as National Demonstration Unit of Economical Public Institutions, Civilized Unit of Yunnan Province, National Unity Education Demonstration School of Yunnan Province, and Safe Campus of Yunnan Province.


The new campus of the college covers an area of 400,000 square meters, with a school building area of 155,800 square meters. In 2019, a school will be established in the Honghe Prefecture Vocational Education Park. There are 5 practice bases, 171 experimental training rooms, 125 multimedia classrooms, and the total value of experimental training equipment is nearly 50 million yuan. The library has 373,900 copies of various paper books, 259,700 e-books, and 287,700 e-journals.


As of December 2019, the college has a total of 466 faculty and staff, including 299 full-time teachers, 80 "dual-professional" teachers, 90 master and above degree teachers, 68 professors and associate professors; 158 external part-time teachers; established; There are 12 professional teaching teams and 14 professional leaders.


The college has established off-campus teaching bases with 100 hospitals and medical and health institutions inside and outside the province, including 1 affiliated hospital, 2 non-directly affiliated hospitals, 15 teaching hospitals, and 25 practice hospitals. There are clinical medicine, stomatology, traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncture and massage, nursing, midwifery, pharmacy, Chinese pharmacy, medical examination technology, medical imaging technology, rehabilitation technology, ophthalmology technology, stomatology technology, traditional Chinese medicine rehabilitation technology, There are 17 junior college majors in medicine operation and management, elderly health care and management, and medical beauty technology, and 1 secondary junior college major in rural medicine.


The college recruits junior high school, high school graduates and three-school students every year, and the scope of enrollment is gradually from Yunnan to other provinces and Southeast Asian countries. In 2019, a total of 2,879 three-year college students were admitted (including 966 three-school students and 1,913 high school graduates), 1,445 five-year college students, and 53 three-year technical college students; there are students from Myanmar, Laos, Thailand and other countries. 41 full-time international students. As of the end of 2019, the school has more than 10,800 full-time students.


Since being promoted to a junior college, the college has accelerated the adjustment of the talent training structure and perfected the talent training system. Schools, hospitals, and enterprises jointly formulate talent training programs, improve talent training models, promote the reform of "2+3" school and hospital regulation training and other talent training models, and "internships", "order training" and other school-enterprise dual-main sports people The talent training model was listed by the Provincial Health and Family Planning Commission and the Provincial Department of Education as the “2+3” talent training pilot for clinical medicine and the second batch of modern apprenticeship pilot units in Yunnan Province. The nursing major was successfully declared to be a high-level backbone major in higher vocational education in Yunnan Province. In 2018, the college signed an agreement with F+U Saxon Vocational Education Group to launch the Sino-German elderly nursing education national project and opened the Sino-German nursing F+U class. The passing rates of nursing and midwifery graduates in the nurse qualification examination in 2019 were 94.20% and 97.96% respectively. In 2019, the employment rate of graduates reached 97.4%, and the professional counterpart employment rate was 85%.
