Dehong Normal College is a provincial public full-time general college approved by the Ministry of Education. It is supervised by the Yunnan Provincial Department of Education and jointly managed by the province and state. The school is located in Mang City, Dehong Dai and Jingpo Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province. Its predecessors were Dehong Nationality Normal School founded in 1955, Dehong Agricultural School in 1958 and Dehong Teachers College in 1978; In April, with the approval of the People's Government of Yunnan Province, Dehong Education College was established on the basis of Dehong Teachers College. In 2004 and 2006, Dehong Prefecture Nationality Normal School and Dehong Prefecture Agricultural School were merged into Dehong Education College. In February 2006, with the approval of the Education Administration Department of the State Council, Dehong Education College was restructured into Dehong Normal College. In 2016, the Dehong State Party Committee and State Government invested 800 million yuan to build a new campus covering an area of nearly 1,000 acres and a building area of nearly 200,000 square meters.
