For more than 40 years since the establishment of the college, the college has always focused on the fundamental task of cultivating socialist builders and successors, closely focused on the major needs of plateau science and local economic and social development, and fully carried forward the "old Tibet spirit" and the college's "spiritual spirit" Based on the characteristics and advantages of its location on the plateau, the main battlefield of Tibet’s economic construction and the “three rural areas” will carry out personnel training, scientific research and social services, and serve Tibet’s agriculture, animal husbandry, forestry, water conservancy, hydropower, and ecological industries. More than 20,000 full-time professional and technical personnel have been trained and transported, and they have become the cradle of leaders at all levels, scientific research backbones, and management backbones in Tibet, forming a distinctive school-running feature based on the plateau, facing Tibet, and serving "agriculture, rural areas, and farmers".
