Tibet University is a key university under the national "211 Project" listed in the sequence of universities directly under the Ministry of Education. The school was established in November 1951. It has gone through the Tibetan cadre training class, the Tibetan Military Region cadre school, the Tibetan local cadre school, and the Tibetan administrative cadre school.
