History
The predecessor of the college was the Urumqi Railway Transportation School and the Xinjiang Railway Advanced Technical School. The Urumqi Railway Transportation School was founded in 1973 and is a national key technical secondary school. In 2004, during the reform of the social functions of separating enterprises from the railway system, the Urumqi Railway Transportation School and the Xinjiang Railway Advanced Technical School were transferred to the autonomous region and are under the management of the autonomous region’s Human Resources and Social Security Department.
