Changji Vocational and Technical College is a public full-time general higher vocational college approved by the People's Government of the Autonomous Region and filed by the Ministry of Education in June 2001. The college is located in Changji City, the north slope economic belt of Tianshan Mountain, Xinjiang, and the golden road of the ancient Silk Road, with convenient transportation and beautiful environment. At present, it has two campuses, a new campus located in Changji National High-tech Industrial Development Zone and a branch campus on Yan’an Road, Changji City. The college covers a total area of 981 mu, with a construction area of 315,000 square meters.
The college has 15,000 students. There are 698 faculty members, including 540 full-time teachers, 135 professors and associate professors, 197 postgraduates, and 226 dual-qualified teachers. The college enrolls more than 40 higher vocational majors throughout the year, covering the main areas of the six pillar industries in Changji Prefecture, and has formed a professional layout with engineering technology industry majors as the core and driving the common development of modern service industry majors.
