Xinjiang Police Academy

Xinjiang Police Officers College is a general public security college established on May 11, 2001 with the approval of the Ministry of Education to meet the needs of Xinjiang public security work and team building. The school is currently divided into three parts: the main campus, the south campus, and the north campus.


Since its establishment in 1950, the school has always adhered to the guidance of Deng Xiaoping Theory and the important thought of "Three Represents", fully implemented the ideological line of the Chinese Communist Party of emancipating the mind, seeking truth from facts, advancing with the times and the educational policy of all-round development. Quality education, hard work, pioneering and innovative, and strive to cultivate high-level applied professionals in public security politics and law of various nationalities who are politically firm, proficient in business, excellent in style, and fair in law enforcement.


   The school is a department-level organization, with 19 department-level institutions, 646 staff, and 589 faculty members. It is listed in the national civil servants and public security orders, and implements police management. The school has 263 full-time and part-time teachers (2 professors, 79 associate professors, and 124 lecturers). The age, educational background, professional title, professional and ethnic proportions of the teachers are reasonable in structure and meet the requirements of running a school. The school currently has 3876 students. The school covers an area of 558.39 mu, with a total school building area of 104,897.93 square meters. It has a collection of 264,700 books and experimental and practice equipment, training venues, technical equipment and relatively complete school-running basic facilities that reflect the characteristics of public security political and legal education and training.


   The school offers eleven majors such as investigation and public security management, with more than 170 professional subjects. At the same time, the school has also jointly run schools with the People’s Public Security University of China and the People’s University of China. It has organized the Xinjiang College of Public Security University, the Xinjiang Postgraduate Courses of the Public Security University, and the Xinjiang Postgraduate Courses of the People’s University of China. It has a multi-level structure of colleges, postgraduate courses, various types of on-the-job police officer training, and multiple forms of correspondence, part-time, full-time, and other forms of schooling.


At present, the school’s faculty and staff are closely uniting around the school’s party committee, working diligently, and working hard to achieve the goal of the autonomous region’s party committee: “To make the Xinjiang Police Officers College stronger and larger, to become a training base for political and judicial police officers in the autonomous region, and to become a first-class training base for police officers in the Northwest.
