Changji College

Changji College is located in the beautiful city of Changji, the center of the economic belt on the northern slope of Tianshan Mountain, Xinjiang. It has a history of running schools for more than 60 years. Its predecessor was Changji Normal School, which was established in 1959. It was upgraded to Changji Teachers College in 1985. In May 2001, it was approved by the Ministry of Education and the People's Government of the Autonomous Region to be upgraded to an ordinary undergraduate college-Changji College.

The college has two campuses, covering an area of 1101 mu. Among them, the Beijing Road campus is 194 acres; the Century Avenue campus is 907 acres. At present, the college has a total of 1,129 faculty members, including 810 full-time teachers, accounting for 71.8% of the total faculty; 26 professors and 169 associate professors, with senior titles accounting for 24.1% of the total number of full-time faculty members; 663 teachers with postgraduate degrees, accounting for full-time faculty The total number of teachers is 81.9%. The college has Department of Chinese, Department of Chinese Language, Department of Economics and Management, Department of Foreign Languages, Department of Mathematics, Department of Computer Engineering, Department of Physics, Department of Chemistry and Applied Chemistry, Department of Physical Education, Department of Music, Department of Fine Arts, Department of Elementary Education, Department of Marxism, and Continuing 15 second-level teaching units including the School of Education and the School of Aviation, a total of 76 undergraduate and junior majors (including 40 undergraduate majors and 36 junior majors), covering law, education, literature, science, engineering, economics, and management Eight disciplines of science and art. The college was approved by the Ministry of Education as a construction unit for "Special Needs Projects" in 2012. It began to recruit graduate students with a master’s degree in engineering in 2013.
