Sichuan Vocational and Technical College of Chemical Industry (formerly Luzhou Technical College of Chemical Industry) is a full-time general higher education institution approved by the Sichuan Provincial People's Government and filed by the Ministry of Education. It is affiliated to the Sichuan Provincial Economic and Information Commission. The college was founded in 1953 and has a long history of running a school. It is the only chemical engineering higher vocational college with the longest history and the most influential in Southwest China. In 1998, it became the first batch of pilot schools for higher vocational education in Sichuan Province. In 2003, it was upgraded to a higher vocational college.
