Sichuan Vocational and Technical College of Architecture

Sichuan Vocational and Technical College of Architecture is a public full-time higher vocational college affiliated to the Sichuan Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development. The college originated from the Chengdu Urban Construction Engineering School established in 1956, and was renamed Chengdu Construction Engineering School in 1958. In 1963, it was relocated to Deyang, Sichuan. In 1980, it was renamed as Sichuan Construction Engineering School, and it was designated as a national key secondary school by the Ministry of Education. In 1992, it was named a provincial civilized unit by the Sichuan Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government. In 1994, it was again designated as a key technical secondary school by the former State Education Commission. In 2001, with the approval of the Sichuan Provincial People's Government, the former Sichuan Provincial Construction Engineering School, Sichuan Provincial Construction Workers College, and Sichuan Provincial Urban Construction School were upgraded to Sichuan Construction Vocational and Technical College. In 2003, the former Workers College of China No. 2 Heavy Machinery Co., Ltd. was merged into the college. With the strength of the four schools, the college's strength in running schools has been rapidly enhanced.


   In 2004, the college passed the assessment of the level of talent training in higher vocational colleges and was awarded the excellent level. In 2008, the "5·12" earthquake was severely damaged, overcoming numerous difficulties, and won the overall victory in earthquake relief and post-disaster reconstruction, and consolidated the foundation for the development of the college. In 2010, it passed the national demonstration higher vocational college project acceptance and won the highest level awards from the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance. In 2013, the Chengdu Qingbaijiang campus was put into use, and the college's overall school-running ability was improved; in the same year, the college became one of the first batch of high-end technical skill-based undergraduate talent training reform pilot units in Sichuan Province.


After more than half a century of hard work in running a school, the college adheres to the school motto of "Building morals, building abilities and steadfastly", and established the school-running philosophy of "cultivating Luban successors and serving urban and rural construction"; creating a "multi-party cooperation and multiple co-construction" school-running philosophy pattern. The college is the first university in Sichuan Province to introduce the ISO9000 quality certification system, a post-doctoral innovation practice base in Sichuan Province, a civilized unit in Sichuan Province, and a "Sino-German cooperation in the construction of a vocational education and training center in the central and western regions" determined by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Construction. The "National Construction Skills Training Base" and "Construction Technology Training Base" supported by the central government, the national advanced unit for the employment of ordinary college graduates, the national colleges with typical employment experience for graduates, and the national civil engineering teaching in higher vocational colleges The presiding unit of the steering committee.


   The college has two campuses in Deyang and Chengdu. The campus covers an area of 2,129 acres, with a building area of 530,000 square meters, and teaching equipment worth more than 100 million yuan.


   There are 1,160 faculty members, 16,162 full-time students, and more than 5,035 continuing education students. There are 4 provincial-level teaching teams, 3 provincial-level colleges and universities school-enterprise joint application technology innovation bases, and 3 engineering technology innovation teams. 1 expert enjoying the special government allowance of the State Council, 1 provincial academic and technical leader (3 reserve candidates), 2 outstanding experts with outstanding contributions at the provincial level, and 5 famous teaching teachers at the provincial level. There are 34 professors, 185 associate professors, and 331 "dual-teacher" teachers. There are 37 doctors, 39 doctors, 580 masters, and 29 masters. The college also has 445 part-time teachers, all of whom are well-known experts and skilled craftsmen in the industry.


   The current majors of the college are mainly civil engineering, taking into account the major categories of transportation, materials, surveying and mapping, machinery, electrical, electronic information, economics, engineering management, etc., and the coordinated development of multi-disciplinary majors. There are now 15 teaching departments (colleges), 2 teaching departments, and 66 majors. There are 1 national-level teaching reform pilot major, 4 Sichuan province teaching reform pilot majors, and 2 Sichuan provincial quality majors. There are 6 national quality courses and 7 Sichuan provincial quality courses. There are 5 national fine resource sharing courses and 2 Sichuan provincial fine resource sharing courses. 4 national quality textbooks and 2 national "Eleventh Five-Year Plan" textbooks. Presided over the formulation of 7 professional education standards and 7 industry qualification standards, and participated in the formulation of 18 professional education standards and 14 industry qualification standards. Presided over the construction of the national higher vocational education construction engineering technology professional teaching resource database project. Presided over the compilation of 13 Sichuan Provincial Construction Engineering Construction Technology Standards, and won the second prize of Sichuan Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award. There are 3 first prizes, 1 second prize, and 3 third prizes in Sichuan Higher Education Teaching.


  The employment rate of college graduates has remained above 97% year after year, and the satisfaction rate of employers to graduates has reached more than 95%, and the talent training effect of "high quality, high employment and high success" has been achieved.
