The College of Engineering and Technology of Chengdu University of Technology is a full-time general institution of higher learning approved by the Ministry of Education. It was founded in 2000 by the Southwestern Institute of Physics of China Nuclear Industry and Chengdu University of Technology in Asia’s largest controlled nuclear fusion experiment base. It is the only nuclear industry in my country. Ordinary undergraduate colleges and universities (state-owned, public). The college was among the first batch of similar colleges to obtain the right to confer bachelor's degrees, and formed a multi-disciplinary and coordinated development of disciplines and professional systems focusing on engineering, covering seven categories of science, engineering, economics, management, literature, art, and sports. The college recruits students from 28 provinces (municipalities and autonomous regions) across the country. There are nearly 20,000 students in school, and more than 70,000 outstanding graduates have been sent to the society. Unique geographical advantage beautiful campus environment
The college is located in the main urban area of Leshan City, Sichuan Province, a world-famous tourist resort, facing Sanjiang and Emei on the back. Leshan has developed transportation and convenient travel. High-speed railways and highways running through the southwest meet here. It is 40 minutes away from Chengdu International Airport. It is a secondary comprehensive transportation hub in the west.
The college covers an area of more than 1,000 acres, with a planned area of more than 2,000 acres, with a green coverage rate of 70%. The campus has a pleasant scenery and the characteristics of environmental education are displayed everywhere. The terrain of the campus is undulating hills, the architectural layout follows the bay and the mountains, the Moruo Lake covering an area of more than 300 acres is rippling with blue waves, the lake park, the Wanjing Garden, the birds and the flowers, the Ginkgo Avenue and the Xiangzhang Avenue are picturesque, and the sweet-scented osmanthus forest and the peach blossom forest complement each other. Strong faculty and fruitful scientific research results
There are more than 1,000 teachers in the college, of which 82.9% are teachers with senior titles of associate professor and above, and teachers with doctoral and master's degrees. The college has hired a group of academicians and professors with rich teaching and research experience as academic leaders from Tsinghua University, Peking University and other universities and the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Chinese Academy of Engineering, and nuclear industry systems. The proportion of dual-qualified teachers is year by year. The college has achieved fruitful scientific research results and has been among the best in similar universities for many years. In the past three years, the faculty of the college has presided over nearly 210 projects from the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National Defense Preliminary Research, Nuclear Energy Development Project, the Talent Pyramid Project of the Western Innovation Action, and various vertical and horizontal scientific research projects, successfully connecting with local large and medium-sized enterprises and research institutes. The college has built five provincial experimental teaching demonstration centers, including engineering training center, nuclear engineering and nuclear technology experimental teaching center, economics and management experimental teaching center, civil engineering experimental teaching center, advanced manufacturing technology virtual simulation experimental teaching center, and teaching and research equipment The total value is 400 million yuan. The college’s intelligent library has 1.8 million books. The China Nuclear Fusion Museum, built in our institute, has been selected as the eighth batch of national key cultural relics protection units and the third batch of national industrial heritage.
