Sichuan Institute of Business and Technology

Sichuan Business College, whose predecessor was the School of Electronic Information Engineering of Sichuan Normal University established in 2001, was established as an independent college of Sichuan Normal University in 2004 with the approval of the Ministry of Education. In April 2015, it was approved by the Ministry of Education and transferred to Sichuan Institute of Business and Technology. The school enrolls students nationwide, implements full-time undergraduate and junior college education, and cultivates high-quality applied technical skills talents with a sense of social responsibility, innovative spirit and practical ability.


The school covers an area of more than 1,600 acres and has two campuses in Chengdu and Meishan. The Chengdu campus is located in the west of Chengdu High-tech Zone at the source of the Funan River, and the Meishan campus is located in the Mindong New District of Meishan City, the hometown of Dongpo. The school has 11 secondary colleges and 64 undergraduate majors, including 32 undergraduate majors, covering seven disciplines of economics, management, engineering, culture, education, law and art. There are currently more than 20,000 students in school. There are two large libraries with a collection of more than 1.9 million volumes of various books and documents, and a large number of digital resources. The school also has 77 off-campus internship training bases and 171 on-campus experimental training rooms. Including automotive audio-visual laboratory, Internet of Things laboratory, microwave laboratory, ERP training room, e-commerce training room, social work professional training room, preschool education professional training base, etc.


The school adheres to the school motto of "Mentality, erudition, truth-seeking, and innovation", and adheres to the school-running idea of "cultivating people by virtue, combining knowledge and action" with students as the main body, employment and entrepreneurship as the orientation, and serving local economic construction and social development. Purpose, aiming at cultivating practical and technical talents with strong practical ability, innovation and entrepreneurship, employability and social service ability, implement the "3+1" application-oriented talent training model, and serve the local economic construction and society in Sichuan develop. The school has a strong faculty, with a team of scholar-type, expert-type, and double-qualified teachers. Among the full-time teachers, there are provincial teaching teachers, provincial outstanding teachers, dual-qualified teachers, and famous school teachers, experts, scholars, entrepreneurs, and artists are invited as guest professors. In the past 3 years, school teachers have presided over 54 educational reform projects at or above the provincial level, undertook 60 departmental and horizontal scientific research projects, awarded 27 awards, published 633 papers, and published 56 textbooks.


Establish a sound quality education system to promote the growth and development of students. Through the construction of campus science and technology culture, aesthetic education culture, literature and art culture, community culture, modern media culture and other multi-channels and multi-levels, the school’s “global culture” system has been created to implement quality education. There are 48 student clubs in the school, and the majority of students have exercised and grown in club activities. The school regularly organizes campus science and technology festivals, cultural festivals, art festivals, and sports meets every year to continuously improve the overall quality of students and enhance their comprehensive competitiveness. In recent years, more than 2,000 teachers and students have won awards in various national and provincial competitions. Students have won 259 national awards and more than 500 provincial awards. The students won the first prize of the 5th National Business School Skills Competition Brand Planning Competition, the 27th CBDF International Ballroom Dance National Championship Modern Dance Champion, and the 7th National University Student "Freescale" Cup Smart Car Competition Finals. Adhere to the "school, local and enterprise" cooperation in running schools to provide intellectual support and talent guarantee for localities and enterprises. Relying on the support of industries and enterprises, promote the construction of disciplines and specialties. "School-local-enterprise" cooperation and "triple interaction" have established a long-term mechanism. Cooperation with the governments of Jiangsu Women's Federation, Meishan City, Chengdu Jinjiang District, and Pidu District has achieved good social effects. Cooperating with Shanghai Beidian Technology Company to implement the "Excellent Engineer Education and Training Program", and cooperating with Cisco Networks to train talents in an "order-based" manner, the results are obvious. It has established cooperative relationships with more than 200 enterprises such as Jingdong Mall, Alibaba, Chenhong Technology Group, Shanghai Beidian Industrial (Group) Co., Ltd., and has carried out customized targeted training and internship training projects with fruitful results.


The school enrollment and employment work presents a good situation of "prosperous import and smooth export". Over the years, the school’s general admission scores have all been among the highest in similar institutions, and the student employment rate has always remained above 95%, and it has been awarded the title of Excellent Employment Unit and Advanced Unit by the Sichuan Provincial Department of Education. Among the graduates, every year, a group of students are admitted to Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Tongji University, Sichuan University, Chongqing University, Lanzhou University, and Zhishan University. .
