Sichuan Normal University is a key university affiliated to Sichuan Province, the first batch of universities in the country to implement the "Middle and Western Universities Basic Capacity Building Project" and a national demonstration school for deepening innovation and entrepreneurship education reform. It is the earliest undergraduate teacher education in Sichuan Province and the history of running a school in normal universities. The oldest university. The school is located in Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan Province, and currently has two campuses: Lion Mountain Campus and Cheng Long Campus.

The school has a long history. The school was founded in 1946, and its birth has a direct historical relationship with Northeastern University. In the early days of the Anti-Japanese War, Northeastern University moved to Santai County, Sichuan Province to run a school. After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, Northeastern University moved back to Shenyang, and the teachers and students in Sichuan established the private North Sichuan Agricultural and Engineering College on the original campus. In 1949, the school absorbed Naxishan Academy and changed its name to Private North Sichuan University. In 1950, the school merged with the private North Sichuan College of Literature to form the public North Sichuan University. It moved to Nanchong City, Sichuan Province and was renamed North Sichuan University. In 1952, with North Sichuan University as the main body, some majors of East Sichuan Education College (formerly China Rural Construction College), Sichuan University and West China University were merged to form Sichuan Normal University. In 1953, some teachers and students of the original Chongqing Normal University entered Sichuan Normal University. In 1956, the undergraduate major of Sichuan Normal University moved to Chengdu Lion Mountain. In 1964, the former Chengdu University (now Southwestern University of Finance and Economics) Department of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry was merged into our school. In 1985, with the approval of the National Education Commission, Sichuan Normal University was renamed Sichuan Normal University. In 1999, the former Chengdu Coal Cadre Management College of the Ministry of Coal Industry was merged into our school as a whole.

The disciplines are complete. The school is the first batch of master's authorized units in the country, and the tenth batch of doctoral authorized units. It hosts eleven disciplines including literature, science, engineering, philosophy, economics, management, law, history, education, art, and agriculture. . Extensive foreign exchanges.
