Yan'an Vocational and Technical College

Yan'an Vocational and Technical College was established in 2005. It is a public higher vocational college approved by the Shaanxi Provincial People's Government and registered by the Ministry of Education. It is also the only engineering vocational college in northern Shaanxi.

The college occupies a total area of 625 acres and a building area of 250,000 square meters. It has a collection of 210,000 books, 20,000 e-books, 1127 teaching computers, 219 voice laboratory seats, and 946 multimedia classrooms. There are 9282 students in this category, including 4,774 full-time students and 4,508 adult and distance education students.

The college adheres to the school-running philosophy of “basing a foothold, serving the society, advocating capabilities, and running characteristics”, and focuses on cultivating high-skilled talents that are in short supply for the energy and chemical industry, green agriculture, red tourism, and the national manufacturing industry in northern Shaanxi. Enterprise cooperation + "dual certificate" (graduation certificate and vocational qualification certificate) system of talent training model, established the energy and chemical base in northern Shaanxi and the system of finance, tourism, education, construction, electricity, transportation, forestry and animal husbandry as the main channels. A broad employment network for graduates radiating from machinery, electronics, and manufacturing companies in developed regions such as the Yangtze River Delta, the Pearl River Delta, and the Yellow River Delta.
