Xi’an Urban Construction Vocational College was established in 1993. It is a full-time higher education institution approved by the Shaanxi Provincial People’s Government and registered by the Ministry of Education with independent qualifications to issue academic diplomas. The college adheres to the school-running philosophy of "people-oriented, characteristic-oriented school, teaching-oriented, and quality first", focusing on the construction of a technical skill-based talent training system for urban construction functional groups, and promoting development through reforms. Significant achievements have been made in school-enterprise cooperation and characteristic school running. It has successively realized in-depth school-enterprise cooperation and resource sharing with domestic and foreign institutions, and formed a talent training and delivery mode of "professional and industrial docking, curriculum and professional standards docking, classroom and practice base docking", and urban construction students have passed high-quality theories in the school. The college consists of seven secondary colleges, including the School of Architecture and Engineering, the School of Economics and Management, the School of Preschool Education, the School of Transportation and Tourism, the School of Mechanical and Electrical Information, the Five-Year School of Basic Education, and the School of International Education and Training. Nearly 50 majors have been opened. Provincial-level first-class majors are leading and college-level first-class majors are the starting point. The construction pattern of coordinated development of professional groups such as construction engineering, transportation, electromechanical information, economic management, preschool education and flight attendant tourism, radiates and drives the comprehensive development of the college. The college is located in Xi’an High-tech Science and Education Park, adjacent to the new campuses of Northwestern Polytechnical University and Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology. It covers an area of more than 530 acres with a building area of 250,000 square meters and currently has more than 10,000 students. It has good practical teaching conditions and has 44 professional training rooms of various types, including 15 training base construction projects supported by the central and provincial finances, and 62 off-campus practice training bases. Library, standardized sports field, physical training center, catering center, supermarket, hospital, bank, logistics, etc., teaching, practical training, and living service facilities are all available.
