Founded in 1977, the college is a full-time public general higher education institution approved by the Shaanxi Provincial People’s Government and registered by the Ministry of Education. It is affiliated to the Aviation Industry Corporation of China. Zheng has two campuses.
The college has a land area of more than 930 acres and total assets of more than 450 million yuan. There are currently more than 12,000 full-time students and nearly 600 faculty members. There are 3 internship training workshops and 1 training building in the school. There are 86 on-campus experimental training rooms, including CNC processing equipment, electromechanical liquid gas, sensors, welding technology, mechanical innovation, electronic assembly, automotive, and integration of science and practice. . It has successively built 1 national-level productive training base, 3 higher vocational education training bases in Shaanxi Province, 1 national defense science and technology industry vocational education training base, and 2 training bases supported by the central government.
The college has teaching and research institutions such as the School of Mechanical Engineering, the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, the School of Materials and Construction Engineering, the School of Electronic Information Engineering, the School of Management Engineering, the School of Automotive Engineering, the School of Modern Service, and the Quality Management Center. There are currently 38 higher vocational majors. It has formed a professional layout focusing on equipment manufacturing and coordinated development of multiple disciplines. It has 1 national-level backbone major, 1 major for building professional service industry development capabilities, 5 provincial-level first-class construction (cultivation) majors, 9 provincial-level key majors, and 3 major comprehensive pilot reform majors. One provincial-level professional teaching resource bank was built, and one provincial-level professional teaching resource bank was established.
The college is the third batch of modern apprenticeship pilot units of the Ministry of Education, the first batch of “1+X” certificate pilot units in the country, and the aviation industry high-skilled personnel training base. It is also the only provincial-level demonstration higher vocational college focusing on engineering in southern Shaanxi. . The college has achieved outstanding results in talent training. It is an excellent institution in the evaluation of the level of talent training in higher vocational colleges of the Ministry of Education, won the National Skills Talent Training Outstanding Contribution Award, Shaanxi Province College Graduate Employment Work Advanced Collective, National Defense Technology Industry System "Excellent School", Huang Yanpei Vocational Education Excellent School Award and many other honors. In recent years, he has won more than 100 awards in various national and provincial competitions.
