Ankang College

Ankang College is the only provincial full-time general public undergraduate college in Ankang City. Its main task is to train applied talents with high comprehensive quality and innovative spirit. Its predecessor was Ankang University, founded in 1958. It was closed in 1963 due to national economic difficulties and resumed in August 1978. It was renamed Ankang Teachers College in June 1984 with the approval of the Shaanxi Provincial People's Government. It was approved by the Ministry of Education in February 2006. It was converted into Ankang College.

Ankang City is located in the south of Shaanxi Province, between Qinba and Ba, on the banks of the Han River, adjacent to the three provinces and cities of Hubei, Chongqing, and Sichuan.
