Xi'an Mingde Institute of Technology is a full-time private general higher education school approved by the Ministry of Education. Formerly known as Mingde College of Northwestern Polytechnical University (undergraduate independent college), the organizer is Northwestern Polytechnical University. As the first batch of independent colleges in Shaanxi Province to be assessed and assessed by the Ministry of Education, it was renamed Xi'an Mingde Institute of Technology in March 2020.
The college is located at the northern foot of the Qinling Mountains and on the west bank of the Fenghe River in Chang'an District, Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province, adjacent to the Chang'an Campus of Northwestern Polytechnical University and the Xi'an Samsung Electronics Technology Industrial Park. The college has strong faculty, advanced teaching equipment, excellent school-running infrastructure, landscaping, informatization, and humanistic campus environment construction, iconic practice teaching center, and good sports venues, complete life support services, etc. Guangzhou University has created a beautiful and pleasant learning and living environment.
Relying on the abundant resources of Northwestern Polytechnical University, the college has formed a school-running system of moderate scale and distinctive features, and has cultivated nearly 40,000 applied undergraduate talents for the country. The professional setting is based on engineering, and the cross-border development of economics, management, culture, and art is coordinated and cross-border development, highlighting the integration of industry and education, and the integration of military and civilian under the background of new engineering, new liberal arts, and new business. The college has 13 secondary colleges, 13 functional departments, 8 teaching and teaching auxiliary units, and 31 undergraduate majors. There are currently nearly 12,000 students in the school. The college’s current full-time teachers account for 46.17% of teachers with intermediate and senior professional titles, and 11% for doctoral degrees. It has 6 national and provincial-level teaching teachers, and 3 provincial-level teaching teams. The teaching staff is strong and the level of professionalism is high. He has successively won 1 second prize of National Teaching Achievement Award and 3 second prizes of Shaanxi Higher Education Teaching Achievement Award.
