Xi'an Medical College

Xi'an Medical College is a full-time general undergraduate college sponsored by the Shaanxi Provincial People's Government. It is composed of Hanguang Campus, Weiyang Campus, and High-tech Campus. There are 13,624 regular undergraduates and 669 full-time master's students.

History

The predecessor of the school was the Shaanxi Provincial Health School founded in 1951. In 1959, the provincial government established the Shaanxi Provincial Health Cadre College. In 1994, the State Education Commission approved the establishment of Shaanxi Medical College. Approved by the Ministry of Education in February 2006, it was upgraded to an undergraduate college and renamed Xi'an Medical College.
