Shandong Aluminum Vocational College

Shandong Aluminum Vocational College was founded in 1958, and its predecessor was the 51st Factory Amateur Engineering College of the same age as the Republic. In July 2004, it became a full-time higher vocational college approved by the Shandong Provincial People's Government and filed by the Ministry of Education. It is the only higher vocational college in my country’s aluminum industry system, the first batch of “high-skilled talent training demonstration bases” in the country, the first batch of modern apprenticeship industry pilot colleges and universities of the Ministry of Education, and a national employee education and training demonstration site. In April 2019, the sponsor of the college-Shandong Aluminum Co., Ltd. became one of the first batch of 24 "integrated enterprises of production and education" by the Ministry of Education. At the same time, the college was rated as the "Shandong Province School-Enterprise Integration Demonstration Institute for School-Enterprise Integration Cooperation" by the Provincial Department of Education. "School" and the company were rated as "Shandong Province School-Enterprise Integration Cooperative School-running Demonstration Enterprise". The college covers an area of 1,674 acres, including two campuses in Zibo and Weihai. The new campus in Weihai covers an area of about 924 acres, with a total construction area of 350,000 square meters. It will be constructed in two phases. The first phase covers an area of about 597 acres. The area is 197,000 square meters.



The college has set up 12 teaching units, including the School of Mechanical Engineering, the School of Business Administration, the Internet School, the Department of Metallurgy and Chemical Engineering, and the Department of Ideological and Political Education. It has 37 majors in industrial robots, non-ferrous metallurgy technology, big data technology and application, forming a non-ferrous metallurgical technology , Non-ferrous electromechanical as a special professional group, of which non-ferrous metallurgy technology and carbon processing technology are unique in Shandong Province. There are more than 12,000 students in the school, and the employment rate of graduates over the years is above 98%. More than 60 years of running the school, it has trained and delivered more than 60,000 technical and technical talents who understand operation, management, and operation for the non-ferrous metal industry and local enterprises in Shandong Province, and become a veritable "cradle" of technical talents in the aluminum industry.
