Jinan Vocational College of Nursing was founded in 1939 as a rebirth midwifery workshop established by the Western Church in Jinan. In 1953, the Jinan Health School of Shandong Province was established. In 1994, the original Jinan Tuberculosis Prevention and Treatment Hospital was merged into the Jinan Health School of Shandong Province. In 2005, Jinan Health School of Shandong Province, Jinan Agricultural School and Jinan Agricultural Science Research Institute merged to form the new Jinan Health School of Shandong Province.
