Dongfang College of Shandong University of Finance and Economics was established in 2005. It is jointly organized by Shandong University of Finance and Economics and the large state-owned enterprise Shandong Gold Group to implement full-time general undergraduate and junior college education. The school is a unit of the National University of Applied Technology (College) Alliance, a pilot university of the Ministry of Education's "Data China-Industry-Education Integration Promotion Program", a unit of the National Innovation and Entrepreneurship Practice Alliance, and a governing unit of the USCPA China Society.
The school covers an area of more than 530 acres, with a building area of 154,000 square meters and more than 8,500 students. There are 28 undergraduate majors in accounting and finance, covering six disciplines: economics, management, science, engineering, literature, and art. The accounting major is a provincial-level specialty and a provincial-level first-class professional construction point. There are 8 secondary colleges, Zhengbao Accounting College, Suguang Ruiyi Big Data College, Oriental Expo Digital Creative College, Huawei ICT College, Tencent Penguin Oriental All-Media College, and Innovation and Entrepreneurship College with 6 special colleges that integrate production and education.
Relying on the strong faculty of the parent school, the school has formed an academic and applied high-level "dual-qualified" faculty team with Shan Finance University and its own teachers as the main body and supplemented by industry and enterprise experts. Implement the "Double Hundred" plan of "100 teachers under the enterprise and 100 enterprise experts entering the campus", gathering industry leaders and management elites to participate in education and teaching, serving as distinguished professors and visiting professors; a large number of outstanding middle-aged and young backbones led by provincial-level teaching teachers, Active in the front line of teaching and research.
After years of practical exploration, Oriental College has gradually condensed a distinctive and practical school-running model and built a "five-in-one" education and teaching system: theory teaching + practical teaching + quality education + innovation and entrepreneurship education + mental health education. The school formulated the "Industry-Education Integration Action Plan" and successively cooperated with the Tai'an Municipal Bureau of Commerce, Beijing Zhengbao Education Group, Zhongke Suguang, Shandong World Expo Huachuang Animation Company, Beijing Perfect World Education Group, Huawei, China Enterprise Chuangyou, Gordon Education Group , Tencent Penguin New Media Academy and many other units signed cooperative education agreements to build an integrated development pattern of "government, school, business and enterprise" four-party linkage, "main body symbiosis, platform sharing, talent sharing, and benefit win-win". The school vigorously implements innovation and entrepreneurship education reform, continues to strengthen the construction of dual-training teams, curriculum system construction, practice platform construction, and rules and regulations, and gradually builds a "1•2•5" tower innovation and entrepreneurship education model (one center: core literacy ; Two basic points: theoretical teaching + practical teaching; five integrations: creative integration, competition course integration, teacher-student integration, school-enterprise integration and school-local integration), successively joined the National Applied Technology University (College) Alliance and the "National Innovation and Entrepreneurship Practice Alliance" builds a diversified innovation and entrepreneurship platform for students.
