Weihai Vocational College is a full-time public general higher vocational school formed by the merger of the original Weihai Radio and Television University, Weihai Education College and Weihai Industrial School. It was established in October 2000 with the approval of the Shandong Provincial People’s Government and the Ministry of Education. In May 2004, it merged with Weihai Technical College to implement two brands per college. The college is one of the first 28 "national exemplary higher vocational colleges" and a national demonstration base for training high-skilled personnel.
