Shandong Jianzhu University is located in Jinan, the capital of Shandong Province, at the foot of the snow-capped mountains and beside the snow-reflecting lake. The green ecological corridor runs through the north and the south. The characteristic buildings and sculptures are scattered, the natural scenery is pleasant and the humanistic atmosphere is strong.
Established in 1956, the school is a multidisciplinary university with engineering-oriented, civil and architectural disciplines as its characteristics, engineering, management, grammar, agronomy, multidisciplinary cross-penetration, and coordinated development. It is a university built by Shandong Province and the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development to serve the country. The school covers an area of more than 2,400 acres, with a school building area of more than 700,000 square meters. The library has more than 4.67 million books, including 2.01 million printed books and 2.66 million e-books. "Journal of Shandong Jianzhu University" is a core academic journal of China (RCCSE), an excellent journal in East China and an excellent journal in Shandong Province, and is included in 10 major databases.
At present, the school has 19 colleges (departments) and 2 research (design) institutes, 58 undergraduate majors, 1 post-doctoral research station, 1 doctoral talent training program, 15 first-level discipline master programs, and 63 second-level disciplines. There are 9 master degree programs in different disciplines, 9 types of master degree authorization, and qualifications for postgraduate exemption. The school has key laboratories of the Ministry of Education, key scientific research bases of the National Cultural Heritage Administration for the protection of rural cultural heritage, Shandong Province Collaborative Innovation Center, and key laboratories, engineering technology research centers, provincial key laboratories of colleges and universities, and humanities and social sciences research bases. The school has established inter-school partnerships with more than 60 universities in more than 30 countries and regions. Currently, 1 joint doctoral training program, 1 Chinese-foreign cooperative education master program, 8 Chinese-foreign cooperative education programs for undergraduates and junior colleges, and 20 student visiting programs are offered.
