Shanxi Police Officer Vocational College

Shanxi Police Officer Vocational College is a higher vocational college that trains and trains the people’s police for the political and legal system. It was founded in April 1964 and has experienced "Shanxi Provincial Public Security Technical School", "Shanxi Provincial Public Security School", and "Shanxi Provincial Reform-through-Labor Work School" ", "Shanxi Province Reform-through-Labor Police School", "Shanxi Province Second People's Police School" and other school names have been changed. On May 20, 2004, with the approval of the Shanxi Provincial People's Government, the Shanxi Police Officer Vocational College was established on the basis of the Second People's Police School of Shanxi Province. It is led by the Shanxi Provincial People's Government and managed by the Shanxi Provincial Prison Administration.

The college has 22 departments, including 9 party and government organizations, 8 teaching organizations, 3 teaching auxiliary organizations, and 2 group organizations. There are 231 faculty members, 88 full-time teachers, and 1,889 students. Among the full-time teachers, there are 30 teachers with the title of associate professor or above, and 33 teachers with master's degree or above.

The college now covers an area of 228.12 acres, with a total construction area of 37770.13 square meters, a total value of 11.34 million yuan in teaching and research equipment, a collection of more than 260,000 paper books and documents, and one "National Vocational Education Training in Computer Application". There are 18 experimental training places and 33 off-campus practical teaching bases, which meet the needs of students' internship training. It has a relatively complete campus network and provides necessary teaching conditions for the combination of work and study.
