Shanxi Police College

The predecessor of Shanxi Police College was the Shanxi Provincial Public Security School established in 1949. It is the only undergraduate public security college in Shanxi Province. The department in charge of the college is the Public Security Department of Shanxi Province. Since 1978, the college has delivered a large number of professional talents to the public security political and legal organs of the whole province and even the whole country. Among them, it has trained more than 56,200 full-time graduates, more than 25,000 correspondence and self-examination candidates, and trained more than 67,000 in-service police officers. A large number of public security heroes have emerged among the graduates, and a considerable number of them have taken up leadership positions, and more of them have become the backbone of the province's public security organs at all levels. The college is known as "the cradle of Sanjin police officers."

The college currently has 2 campuses, covering a total area of 886 and a building area of 231,000 square meters. There are more than 6,300 full-time students. There are 310 full-time teachers, including 132 with senior professional titles. A large number of experts and scholars who are influential in the public security front in the province and even the whole country are active in the front line of teaching. At the same time, the college hired a group of public security instructors from the public security organs to undertake teaching tasks. There are 13 undergraduate majors, including 11 public security majors: investigation, economic crime investigation, public security, anti-drug science, public security management, public security information, traffic management engineering, criminal science and technology, public security audio-visual technology, network security And law enforcement, police command and tactics; 2 non-public security majors: law and information security. There are 3 national training bases, namely: the National Public Security Police Psychological Training Shanxi Experimental Center, the Ministry of Public Security’s Explosives Public Safety Education Training Base, and the National Cultural Heritage Administration Cultural Museum Talent Training Demonstration Base. "The library has 632,000 paper books and 154,900 e-books. There are 45 experimental and training places in the school. There are 26 off-campus teaching bases and practical teaching bases in the public security organs of the province.
