Shanxi Institute of Technology is a provincial public full-time general undergraduate college of science and engineering established in 2021 approved by the Ministry of Education. The campus is planned to cover an area of 1277.9 acres. The number of full-time undergraduate students is tentatively set at 12,000, and it is enrolled in 31 provinces (cities, districts) across the country.
The school is located in Shuozhou City-outside Yanmen Pass, a city as beautiful as Northern Europe by the Sanggan River. Youyu County, the birthplace of the "Youyu Spirit" mentioned by General Secretary Xi Jinping six times, belongs to Shuozhou City.
