Qinghai Vocational and Technical College of Architecture is located in Xining, a beautiful city on the plateau of Qinghai and Huangshui. As the only higher vocational college of architecture and communication in Qinghai Province, the college always adheres to the guidance of Xi Jinping’s new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics, comprehensively implements the party’s educational policy, fulfills the fundamental task of cultivating morality, intelligence, and physical beauty. The college was founded in 1978 and was approved by the Qinghai Provincial People’s Government in 2002 to form the Qinghai Vocational and Technical College of Architecture; in 2015, it was established as a provincial key higher vocational college; in 2018, it was awarded the 6th Huang Yanpei Vocational Education Award for Excellent School; 2019 In 2020, it will build a national high-quality junior vocational college; in 2020, it will build the province’s first batch of “school-by-law” demonstration schools, the province’s first “water-saving colleges and universities”, and won the Qinghai Provincial Public Institutions’ Poverty Alleviation Special Award and the National Meritorious Collective. The college covers an area of 141.3 acres and currently has 4770 full-time students and 269 faculty members. The proportion of full-time teachers with a master's degree is 37.26%, the proportion of full-time teachers with senior titles is 47.71%, there is a second-level professor, and the proportion of dual-teacher qualifications is 69.93%. The employment rate of college graduates has remained above 98% for many consecutive years, showing a good trend of "prosperous imports and smooth exports". It has been rated as the national advanced unit for graduate employment of higher education institutions, the national advanced unit for construction talents, and the national advanced unit for vocational education. It is a training base for high-skilled talents in Qinghai Province, a base for training talents in the communications industry, and a continuing education base for professional and technical personnel. It was named as a training base for skilled talents in short supply in the construction industry by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development.
