Ningxia Teachers College

Ningxia Normal University is located in Guyuan City, a historical city under the Liupan Mountains in southern Ningxia. It is under the management of the People's Government of the Autonomous Region and is the only normal undergraduate college in Ningxia.

   The predecessor of the school was Liupanshan University established in 1975. Mr. Hu Qili, former vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and then deputy secretary of the Guyuan Prefectural Committee, served as the leader of the preparatory group of Liupanshan University and the leader of the core leading group of the party. In 1978, the State Council approved the establishment of Guyuan Teachers College on the basis of Liupanshan University. In 1994, it was renamed Guyuan Teachers College. In 2006, it was renamed Ningxia Teachers College with the approval of the Ministry of Education. It was upgraded to an undergraduate college. Co-constructed unit by the People's Government of Guyuan City. In 2012, he obtained the qualification for postgraduate training for a master's degree in education. In 2013, he passed the qualification assessment of undergraduate teaching work by the Ministry of Education. In the same year, it became the first public-funded education pilot school for normal students in Ningxia. In 2016, it was identified as the first batch of pilot universities for overall application transformation in Ningxia. In the same year, it became the autonomous region's "first-class" discipline establishment unit in the autonomous region, and was approved for admissions qualifications for foreign students. In 2018, it became a newly-added master's degree authorization unit.
