Liaoning Institute of International Business and Economics is a non-profit private general higher education school funded by employees. In March 2005, it was established with the approval of the Ministry of Education. The school was founded in October 1964 and was named Liaoning Foreign Trade Vocational School. It was run in Shenyang and Dalian. In 1966, the school was suspended due to the "Cultural Revolution". In January 1979, the school resumed in Sandaogou, Ganjingzi District, Dalian, and was named the Liaoning Foreign Trade School. In May 1987, the school moved to Yangshugou, Shahekou District, Dalian. In April 1997, the Liaoning Provincial Department of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation agreed to establish a private branch of the Liaoning Provincial Foreign Trade School in the Lushun Economic and Technological Development Zone. In July 1999, the Ministry of Education approved the upgrading of the private branch of the Liaoning Foreign Trade School to a higher vocational college, named Wancheng Vocational College of Economics and Trade. In February 2001, the Liaoning Provincial Government approved it to be renamed Liaoning Vocational College of Foreign Economics and Trade, September 2003 , And Liaoning Normal University jointly recruit undergraduates. The school is located in Lushun, the historic city of Dalian on the coast of the Bohai Sea. It covers an area of 563,000 square meters, with a building area of 293,000 square meters, and has 11,856 students. The library has a collection of 1.246 million books and 74 laboratories of various types. There are 698 full-time teachers, including 451 with senior professional titles, 2 second-level professors, 2 doctoral supervisors, and 71 master supervisors. The school currently has 4 disciplines, 6 first-level disciplines, 16 second-level disciplines, 22 undergraduate majors. There are 14 departments in level colleges, recruiting students from 30 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) across the country.
