Siping Vocational University

Siping Vocational University was established in 1983. It is a full-time public general college approved by the People's Government of Jilin Province and filed by the Ministry of Education. It is the earliest vocational college with a ten-year history of undergraduate education in Jilin Province. The school covers an area of 344,000 square meters, with a building area of 200,000 square meters. It has a standard library, gymnasium, multi-functional lecture hall, 400 meters of plastic wind and rain playground, 2000 square meters of silicon PU light court, school hospital and other supporting facilities. In 2010, it was identified as a model higher vocational college in Jilin Province. In 2014, it passed the evaluation of the national talent training work again with high quality.


   At the end of 2014, the provincial government agreed to merge Siping Medical and Health School and Siping Urban Construction Workers' Secondary School into Siping Vocational University. Relying on the original Siping Medical School, the school established the School of Medicine. In March 2015, Siping City Light Chemical Industry School and Siping City Commercial School were merged into Siping Vocational University. In April 2017, Siping Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government designated Siping Health School in Jilin Province as the direct management of Siping Vocational University, and the two schools jointly run schools. Siping Vocational University has achieved a qualitative improvement in its scale of development and school conditions, and the school has entered a new period of rapid development.


The school has the School of Medicine, School of Mechanical Engineering, School of Electronic Engineering, School of Finance and Economics, School of Computer Engineering, School of Construction Engineering, School of Aviation Tourism, School of Management, School of Zhongrui Automobile, School of Continuing Education, School of Secondary Vocational Education, and 40 professional enrollment , The professional setting covers 9 disciplines including medicine and health, machinery manufacturing, electronic information, finance and economics, public utilities, civil engineering, transportation, culture and education, art design and media, with nearly 10,000 full-time students.


   The school pays attention to the construction of majors, and takes the construction of characteristics and demonstration majors as the leader to promote the construction of professional groups. In 2011, the electrical automation technology major was identified as a provincial demonstration major. The professional group of machinery manufacturing and the professional group of finance and economics have been identified as the special professional group of Jilin Province in the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" period. Mechanical design and manufacturing, and accounting computerization were selected for the 2011-2012 Ministry of Education and Ministry of Finance "Central Finance Supports Higher Vocational Schools to Improve the Capacity Building of Professional Service Industry Development". At the end of 2013, four professional groups, namely, mechanical design and manufacturing group, electrical automation technology group, computer application technology group and construction engineering technology group were identified as key construction professional groups of provincial demonstration schools.


  The school has strong teachers and a team of teachers with ten years of undergraduate experience.
