Changchun Automobile Industry College originated from Changchun Automobile Technical School established by FAW in 1952. With the development of China's automobile industry, the school has formed a unique vocational education system, and has entered the ranks of the country's 28 high vocational model colleges for the first time. In 2009, the school was placed under the management of Changchun Municipal Government by FAW Group.
