Jilin Railway Vocational and Technical College is located in Jilin City, Jilin Province. It is a provincial public full-time higher vocational college with a fine revolutionary tradition and a long history and culture. It is the only higher vocational college mainly specialized in railways in Jilin Province.
The predecessor of the college was the Jilin Railway Economic School established in 1948 and the Jilin Railway Transportation Workers University in 1958. It is the earliest vocational school and national key school established by the Ministry of Railways. It has a history of 70 years. He once took over the Southern Manchurian Railway and the Middle East Railway for our party, won the victory in the Liaoshen Campaign, and even made outstanding contributions to the liberation of the Northeast and the national liberation. The college has been renamed 12 times in its history. In 1961, it was renamed Jilin Railway Institute and held undergraduate level education. In August 2005, the industry-run school was transferred to the local school. In February 2006, it was rebuilt into Jilin Railway Vocational and Technical College approved by the Jilin Provincial Government. In June 2009 and October 2014, the college passed the national talent training work evaluation with high evaluations twice. Over the years, the college has been identified as a model higher vocational college in Jilin Province, a research base for higher vocational education in Jilin Province, the Ministry of Education and a pilot school for modern apprenticeship in vocational education in Jilin Province, and an experimental school for digital campus construction in vocational colleges across the country.
The college has excellent conditions for running schools. The campus is located at No. 666 Jihua Road, Yongji Economic Development Zone, Jilin.
