Baicheng Normal University is the only provincial undergraduate college in the west of Jilin Province. It is located at the intersection of Jilin, Heilongjiang, and Inner Mongolia. The school was founded in 1958, and its predecessor was Baicheng Teachers College. In August 2000, the Baicheng Forestry School, formerly affiliated to the State Forestry Administration, was merged. In March 2002, it was upgraded to an undergraduate college and changed its name to Baicheng Teachers College. In 2007, he started to train master students jointly with Northeast Normal University. In 2008, he passed the evaluation of the undergraduate teaching level of the Ministry of Education with excellent results. The school covers an area of 725,800 square meters, with a construction area of 338,800 square meters. The total value of fixed assets is 639 million yuan. There are 20 teaching units. The school has 49 undergraduate majors, covering 9 disciplines of law, education, literature, history, science, engineering, agriculture, management, and art. The national preparatory course enrolls free normal students.
