Jilin University of Finance and Economics is a key university in Jilin Province and a school jointly built by the People's Government of Jilin Province and the State Administration of Taxation.
The school started in July 1946 in the Banking Cadre Training Course organized by the Northeast Bank Headquarters. It has experienced several historical periods such as Northeast Bank Cadre School, Northeast Bank Special School, Changchun Bank School, Jilin Institute of Finance and Trade, and Jilin Province Finance and Trade School.
