Fuzhou Preschool Teachers College (formerly known as Xingzhi Branch of East China University of Technology and Chongren Normal School) is a public teacher training school approved by the People's Government of Jiangxi Province and filed by the Ministry of Education for cultivating junior high school and kindergarten teachers. The school is located in Fuzhou City, Jiangxi Province, known as the "Hometown of Talents" and "Cultural State". It covers an area of 620 acres with a building area of 260,000 square meters and is 100 kilometers away from Nanchang City.
Since the establishment of the school, the school has always held high the banner of normal education, adhered to the ideology of “cultivating people with virtue and comprehensive development”, formed an excellent school spirit of “unity, diligence, pragmatism, and innovation”, and delivered more than 30,000 graduates to the society. It has trained more than 200 principals of primary and secondary schools, and nearly 4,000 key teachers of various subjects in primary and secondary schools. There are currently 8,500 students and more than 370 faculty members.
The school offers 8 majors including preschool education, elementary education, language education, art education, science education, English education, mathematics education, and modern education technology. It has modern teaching facilities and training rooms for the teaching of various majors. The library has a collection of more than 400,000 books, more than 1 million e-books, nearly 600 types of newspapers and periodicals, and more than 400 piano rooms. Upon graduation, students will be issued a full-time national college enrollment program (college) diploma in teacher training. Students who participate in the corresponding qualifications and grade examinations can obtain teacher qualification certificates, English grade certificates, computer grade certificates, and Putonghua grade certificates.
The school is rigorous in school ethos and strict management. It is based on cultivating student teacher ethics, focusing on improving student teacher ability, focusing on practical teaching and the cultivation of students' comprehensive quality. Over the years, students have participated in the province’s preschool education "Pentathlon" competition and won the first and second prizes. They have participated in English, computer, Mandarin, and piano exams, and their passing rates are among the best in similar schools in the province.
The school attaches great importance to the employment of students, and has established a long-term relationship and cooperation with the Jiangxi Provincial Social Security Labor and Employment Center to ensure smooth employment channels for graduates.
