Jiangxi Vocational College of Applied Engineering is a public college with glorious history and revolutionary tradition. Its predecessor was Anyuan Road Mining Workers Cram School. This cram school was founded in January 1922 by the early leader of the Chinese labor movement, the proletarian revolutionary Comrade Li Lisan, following the instructions of Comrade Mao Zedong. It was the first vocational school founded by the Communist Party of China. At that time, the older generation of proletarian revolutionaries such as Li Lisan, Liu Shaoqi, and Chen Tanqiu personally served as teachers to compile teaching materials, teach workers' culture, promote Marxism-Leninism and revolutionary principles, and sent a large number of talents to the Chinese revolution and made indelible contributions. It was suspended due to the war, and the school resumed in the winter of 1949. It was listed in the first batch of higher vocational enrollment colleges in Jiangxi Province in 1999, and was later approved as Jiangxi Applied Engineering Vocational College by the People's Government of Jiangxi Province.
The college is located in Anyuan, Pingxiang, Jiangxi, the holy land of revolution. The faculty is strong and has an excellent faculty, including 87 full-time associate professors, 232 teachers with intermediate titles, and more than 30 graduate students. In addition, the college also has a full-time training instructor team composed of 40 engineers and technicians. The teaching facilities are advanced and complete, with a multimedia audio-visual education center and a closed-circuit television system, an FM radio station, a color TV in each classroom, and implementation of audio-visual teaching. The college also has a national vocational and technical senior appraisal institute, a computer information high-tech examination station, and is a comprehensive base for continuing education and vocational training in Jiangxi Province. In addition, make full use of the college's resources and talent advantages to develop software development, hardware maintenance, network technology, mechanical processing and other scientific and technological services to the society, actively promote the industrialization of teaching and research results, and form an operating mechanism that combines "production, learning, and research".
