Chinese People's Liberation Army Army Infantry Academy

The Army Infantry Academy of the Chinese People's Liberation Army is a higher education institution for training new army infantry junior command officers. The college originated from the Red Army school during the Red Army period, the Anti-Japanese Red Army University and the Anti-Japanese Military and Political University during the Anti-Japanese War, the Northeast Military and Political University and the Huazhong Military and Political University during the Liberation War. In the 1940s, nearly a thousand outstanding students participated in the fight against France in aid to Vietnam and in self-defense. At present, there are still 4 professors with experience in the war working in teaching positions. They have participated in the National Day military parade 9 times. During the 2nd Five-Year Plan period, the key construction academies, the army infantry combat and political work disciplines of the Academy in 2019 were identified as the military’s “13th Five-Year Plan” key disciplines. The headquarters of the college is located in Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province, where the military flag is raised, and a campus in Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province.


School positioning. The college is the only higher education institution that trains infantry junior command officers. It mainly trains infantry platoon, company, and battalion command officers for the army. It also undertakes training tasks for staff officers, military graduates, military civilian personnel, and noncommissioned officers. More than 100 countries on the continent train military students abroad.


Training quality. The college has always insisted on establishing morality and educating people for war, teaching around actual combat, focusing on winning and educating talents, and providing powerful talent support for the cause of strengthening the army. He has trained more than 200 postgraduates and nearly 300,000 military and political commanders for the entire army. More than 150 of the graduates have grown into generals of the Republic and are known as the "cradle of generals." It has been successively rated as an advanced military academy for military and political training, an excellent unit for teaching in the military, an advanced academy for teaching the scientific development concept of the military, and an advanced academy for the teaching of political theory in the military.


Faculty. The college has a strong faculty, with more than 800 faculty members and more than 210 professors and associate professors. In recent years, more than 60 people have been rated as outstanding teachers in the national army, and more than 400 people have won military academies and education awards, enjoyed special government allowances or outstanding professional and technical personnel post allowances, and have a large number of well-known and well-known fighters in the army. School conditions. The college covers a total area of more than 19,600 acres. It has modern teaching buildings, information buildings, cultural and sports training centers, libraries and other teaching venues, as well as more than 40 training venues for military sports, military skills, and team tactics. Advanced infantry combat vehicles and light weapons have formed a teaching support system that integrates scientific and cultural foundations, engineering majors, and military applications. The headquarters of the college faces the famous Tengwang Pavilion in the south of the Yangtze River in the east and the Meiling in the north of Jiangxi in the west. The green coverage rate of the campus reaches 89%. The Shijiazhuang campus "Thousand Mu Berlin", "Twelve Waterfall Ecological Garden" and other humanistic and natural landscapes are scattered. In the meantime, it is so beautiful that it is an ideal place for studying and pursuing scholarship.
