The predecessor of Jiangxi Judicial Police Vocational College was the Jiangxi College of Political Science and Law established in 1958 (later divided into three schools, namely, Jiangxi Provincial Public Security College, Jiangxi Provincial Reform-through-Labor Police School, and Jiangxi Provincial Judicial School). In 2000, Jiangxi Provincial Judicial School and Jiangxi Province The Judicial Police School was formed and merged into the Jiangxi Judicial Police School. In April 2002, the Jiangxi Judicial Police Vocational College was established with the approval of the Provincial People’s Government and retained the functions of the Jiangxi Provincial Political and Legal Cadre School. Fifteen ministries and commissions including the Ministry of Education have been designated as the "National Politics and Law Police Recruitment System Reform Pilot Institutions." In May 2013, the Jiangxi Provincial Institutional Organization Committee approved the college to add the "Jiangxi Provincial Judicial Department Police Training Corps" brand.
As the saying goes: a university is not a building. Although the college occupies only 175 acres, the campus is very pleasant with complete facilities, reasonable layout, and greening and beautification. The college has complete teaching and scientific research equipment, modern teaching monitoring system, a car driving training field, a police skills training center, a legal professional skills training center, a multimedia classroom, a criminal investigation laboratory, a language room, a computer center, a plastic track and field, and basketball. There are more than 600,000 books in the collection of supporting facilities for teaching and living such as stadiums and volleyball courts.
There are currently 229 faculty members in staff; there are more than 7,400 students in school. There is also an excellent team of teachers: 114 teachers with qualifications of associate professor and above, and 86 "dual-qualified" teachers such as lawyers, accountants, and psychological consultants. Student Liao Yuqin broke the world record of Chinese short-hand recording with a score of 652.92 characters per minute. , Yang Mingru teacher Yin Liangliang was selected for the Chinese national team and achieved good results in international competitions.
The college implements strict policing management in terms of management, students uniformly wear people's police clothing in school, and cultivate students' comprehensive quality with high standards. The employment rate of graduates is among the top universities in the province. The number of civil servants admitted each year is among the top vocational colleges in the province.
