Jiangxi Police Academy

Jiangxi Police College originated from the Jiangxi Provincial Public Security School established in 1951, and has gone through the development stages of Jiangxi Political and Law College, Jiangxi Political and Law Cadre School, Jiangxi People's Police School, and Jiangxi Public Security College. From 2002 to 2013, he co-trained undergraduates with Nanchang University. In March 2010, it was approved by the Ministry of Education to establish Jiangxi Police College as a full-time general undergraduate college. The college is led by the People's Government of Jiangxi Province, and implements the joint management of the Jiangxi Provincial Department of Education and the Jiangxi Provincial Public Security Department, with a management system based on the Jiangxi Provincial Public Security Department.


   In November 2011, the Ministry of Public Security and the People's Government of Jiangxi Province signed an agreement to jointly establish the Jiangxi Police Academy, establishing a national economic crime investigation education and training base in the college, becoming the country's first local public security undergraduate college jointly established by a province. In April 2013, the Academic Degree Committee of the People's Government of Jiangxi Province approved the college as a bachelor's degree-granting unit. In 2017, the college was listed by the Provincial Department of Education as a planning and construction unit for master's granting in the 13th Five-Year Plan of Jiangxi Province.


  Basic school conditions. The college campus covers an area of 1,932.69 acres (128,8459.78 square meters), with a building area of 224,800 square meters. Among them, the area of teaching and administrative buildings is 102,000 square meters. The total value of teaching and research equipment is 54.419700 yuan. The library has a collection of 803,800 books and nearly 6 million e-books. There are 52 experimental training sites on campus and 35 off-campus practice bases.


   Subjects and majors. The college has 11 teaching departments, 14 majors have been approved, and 13 majors have actually been opened, equivalent to 4,687 students. There are 8 public security majors including investigation, economic crime investigation, public security, criminal science and technology, traffic management engineering, security engineering, public security management, network security and law enforcement, law, information security, English, social sports guidance and management, There are 5 general majors in administrative management, covering disciplines such as law, engineering, management, education, and literature. The three disciplines of investigation, public security, constitution and administrative law have been identified as key disciplines in the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" of colleges and universities in Jiangxi Province. The economic crime investigation major was rated as a key professional construction point for higher education in public security.

   Teaching Quality Project. The college has 3 national quality courses, "Investigation Measures and Strategies", "Introduction to Public Security Practical Law," and "Economic Crime Investigation", and 31 provincial and ministerial quality courses and demonstration courses. There are 4 outstanding teaching teams in universities in Jiangxi Province, 3 innovative experimental areas for talent training models, 4 pilot projects for comprehensive professional reforms, and 2 outstanding engineer education and training programs. In 2013, the economic crime investigation research team was approved as the first batch of Jiangxi Province A high-level innovative team of philosophy and social sciences in colleges and universities. From 2010 to 2017, the college received 24 special funds for the development of local colleges and universities from the central government, with a construction fund of 73 million yuan.


   Scientific research platform. The Criminal Science and Technology Laboratory and Public Security Research Center of the college were approved by the Jiangxi Provincial Department of Education as the key laboratory of Jiangxi Province’s universities and the key research base of humanities and social sciences. The electronic data forensics laboratory was approved as the provincial key laboratory by the Jiangxi Provincial Department of Science and Technology. . In June 2015, the Collaborative Innovation Center of Economic Crime Investigation and Prevention and Control Technology of the College was approved by the People's Government of Jiangxi Province as the fourth batch of "2011 Collaborative Innovation Centers" in Jiangxi Province, and received construction funding of 20 million yuan. In 2012, the publication "Research on Economic Crime Investigation" was co-organized with the Economic Investigation Bureau of the Ministry of Public Security. The college has 8 college-level research centers. In April 2017, the Institute of Physical Evidence Appraisal obtained the "Qualification Certificate of Inspection and Testing Agency" issued by the Jiangxi Provincial Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision.


   Teaching and research results. From 2010 to 2016, college teachers published 1,756 papers in academic journals at all levels, including 227 core journal papers; won 752 teaching and scientific research awards at all levels, including 23 provincial and ministerial awards, and provincial and ministerial excellent teaching achievements 2 first prizes; 566 project projects, including 2 national-level, 286 provincial and ministerial-level; 166 monographs, editor-in-chief (participating) textbooks published, including 2 national-level planning textbooks for general higher education, excellent training by the Ministry of Public Security 1 textbook, 1 first prize and 2 second prizes for excellent textbooks in ordinary colleges and universities in Jiangxi Province. Seven research results were approved by the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security and Jiangxi Province, one result was adopted by the General Office of the Jiangxi Provincial Party Committee and recommended to the Secretary Bureau of the General Office of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. The 12 sets of "Society and Law" column of CCTV broadcasted the interview documentary news. "Journal of Jiangxi Police College" has been rated as the National Excellent Social Science Newspaper by the Chinese Society of Humanities and Social Sciences. In the second national public security colleges and universities teaching skills competition, teachers won the first prize and the second prize each, and the students won the second prize of the group.


  Cooperation in Running Schools. The college has successively carried out teaching cooperation with Hunan Police College, Jiangsu Police Academy, and Zhejiang Police College in teachers, undergraduate exchanges, mutual recognition of credits, examinations, etc.; it has established good cooperative relations with public security agencies and related enterprises and institutions within and outside the province; developed internationally Cooperation in running schools and foreign exchange activities, successively established inter-school partnerships with the University of the West of England, Lincoln University, the University of New Haven, the Judicial College of Columbia, Canada, and Deakin University, Australia, to jointly cultivate forensic identification, information security, law, etc. Specialized talents.

Since the resumption of academic education in 1978, the college has sent more than 30,000 graduates to the public security political and law departments inside and outside the province, including 1096 undergraduate graduates jointly trained with Nanchang University, and 3731 undergraduate graduates after upgrading. Among them, 14 first- and second-class heroes of the national public security system represented by Cheng Yonglin, 101 first-class merits, and 545 second-class merits, have played an important role in the work of Jiangxi public security and the stable development of society.
