Yichun College is located in the central city of Jiangxi-Yichun City, Jiangxi Province. Since ancient times, Yichun has been known as a “land of beauty in the south of the Yangtze River and a country of prosperity for cultural relics”. It is one of the first batch of national ecological pilot cities, national garden cities, national greening model cities, China's excellent tourist cities and national sanitary cities. Yichun has beautiful scenery and convenient transportation. The Shanghai-Swiss Expressway, Hangzhou-Changzhou High-speed Railway, Zhejiang-Jiangxi Railway pass through the city, and Mingyueshan Civil Airport extends in all directions.
The predecessor of Yichun College was Yichun University, founded in 1958. In January 2000, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, the original Yichun Teachers College, Yichun Medical College, Yichun Agricultural College, and Yichun Workers' Sparetime College merged and upgraded to a full-time public undergraduate college.
The school has three campuses: the main campus, the north campus and the new campus, covering an area of 2020.64 acres. There are 17,860 full-time students. There are 1,414 faculty members (including workers), of which 1,003 are full-time teachers. Teachers with senior professional titles account for more than 43.27% of full-time teachers, and doctors and masters account for more than 74.88% of full-time teachers; externally hired by the school More than 100 senior experts, including academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, director of the National Hybrid Rice Research Center Yuan Longping, and academician Chen Xianhui, a doctoral supervisor of the University of Science and Technology of China, are guest professors.
In recent years, the school’s reputation for running a school has been improved. In October 2011, with the approval of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council, our school was approved as the "Project to Serve the Special Needs of the Country-A Bachelor's Degree Awarding Unit Carrying out a Pilot Work Unit for Training Master's Professional Degree Postgraduates". In early 2015, it was approved as one of the first ten pilot universities for transformation and development in Jiangxi Province. In 2017, our school successfully passed the clinical medicine professional certification organized by the Ministry of Education. Our school is the only pilot school of the first batch of artificial intelligence college project of the Ministry of Education in Jiangxi Province. Our school has been awarded the provincial advanced unit for comprehensive management for 4 consecutive years, and has been awarded the advanced unit for energy conservation, family planning, and letters and visits for many consecutive years.
The school currently has 18 teaching colleges, with 11 disciplines including education, medicine, agriculture, literature, science, engineering, economics, law, management, art, and history, as well as provincial key disciplines during the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan” period. 4. There are 2 provincial key laboratories, 4 provincial university key laboratories (engineering centers, key bases), 1 provincial cultural art science key research base, and 1 provincial 2011 collaborative innovation center.
Since the school was merged and established, efforts have been made to improve the level of school management. From the previous majors in junior colleges, to the current undergraduate majors, the enrollment of junior colleges has been cancelled in 2018. There are 74 undergraduate majors, including 2 national characteristic majors, 8 provincial characteristic majors; 2 national "Excellent Talent Education and Training Program" majors, 5 provincial "Excellent Talent Education and Training Program" pilot majors; National Comprehensive Reform Pilot 1 major and 4 majors in the provincial comprehensive reform pilot program. There are 1 post-doctoral research workstation and 2 academician workstations. In the past five years, it has won more than 10 provincial teaching achievement awards, 91 teaching reform research projects above the provincial level, 20 provincial-level quality resource sharing courses, etc., published more than 40 textbooks, and instructed students in various categories across the country and the province. In the subject competition, he won 23 international awards, 45 national first prizes, and 183 provincial first prizes.
The school vigorously promotes scientific research to strengthen the school, and pays attention to scientific research to feed back teaching. There are 10 scientific research platforms above the provincial level, including the "2011 Collaborative Innovation Center". In the past five years, the average annual scientific research funding of teachers has exceeded 40,000 yuan, and they have undertaken 56 national-level scientific research projects such as the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the National Social Science Foundation, and more than 1,000 other various projects; won the provincial and above achievement award 31 Project; published nearly 1,100 papers in core journals, and published more than 120 monographs (translations); research in biomedicine, beauty medicine, two-line hybrid rice, etc. has reached the domestic advanced level.

The school has 1 national off-campus practice base for college students, 2 provincial-level talent training model innovation experimental areas, and 3 provincial-level college experimental teaching demonstration centers. At present, the number of international students in the school is 401, mainly receiving clinical medical education in our school.
