Suzhou Industrial Park Vocational and Technical College (IVT in English) is to meet the demand for high-skilled talents in the development and construction of the park, and to better serve the foreign-funded enterprises in the area. The college is the only national model vocational college among the 18 vocational colleges in Suzhou. It is now an advanced unit of vocational education in the country, a demonstration school for employment competitiveness of vocational colleges, and a charming campus of vocational colleges in Jiangsu Province.    Over the past two decades, the college has formed a school-running style featuring a joint-stock school system, in-depth school-enterprise cooperation, and international school-running vision by actively learning from the advanced vocational education experience of developed countries such as Singapore and Germany.


   The college has improved the corporate governance structure, deepened the shareholding system of running schools, and established a board of directors composed of government authorities, well-known Chinese and foreign multinational companies, and well-known universities at home and abroad, and implemented the "dean responsibility system under the leadership of the board." The board members are from the United States, Germany, the Netherlands, Finland, Belgium, Canada, Australia, South Korea, Singapore and other countries. There are 21 corporate directors, accounting for 70% of the board members, and 16 multinational corporate directors, accounting for 53% of the directors. Under the leadership of the board of directors, the structure and operation mechanism of the “dean’s responsibility system” integrates the resources of the government, enterprises and the school. It provides strong support for the development of the college in terms of policies, funding, and majors, and plays a constructive role in optimizing the development strategy of the college. effect.   The college adheres to the pro-business philosophy and the principle of mutual benefit, and conducts in-depth school-enterprise cooperation. In the process of running the school, the "pro-business philosophy" in the field of public management in Singapore was introduced, and it was clearly defined as the "pro-business philosophy". In the past two decades, the college has formed a variety of school-enterprise cooperation models, and has explored the "BOSCH mode-order training", "CHARMILLES mode-use rights sharing", "SAMSUNG mode-corporate university" for the common growth of the college and the enterprise.
