Xuzhou Preschool Teachers College is an independent public college approved by the Ministry of Education. It is the first preschool teacher college in Jiangsu Province and Huaihai Economic Zone. The school was founded in 1984 and its name was Jiangsu Xuzhou Preschool Normal School. In October 2005, it was renamed Xuzhou Preschool Normal School with the approval of the provincial government. In April 2011, Xuzhou Preschool Normal School was established with the approval of the Ministry of Education.
School is located in Xuzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone, with two campuses, Dongshan and Biluo, covering an area of 427.8 acres and a building area of 171589.94 square meters. All kinds of buildings are built on the hillside, scattered in a neat pattern, surrounded by green trees, lush flowers and trees, with an elegant environment and picturesque scenery. It is an ecological and garden-style school. The school library has a collection of more than 439,300 books, 458 types of periodicals, and 380GB of e-books. The school adheres to the school-running mission of "education-oriented, moral education first", implements the school-running philosophy of "schools with characteristics, teaching with characteristics, and learning with specialties", and gradually forms a normal education as the main body, art education as the support, and non-teaching education. To supplement, the preschool education group is based on the school structure. At present, the school has one college, four departments, two departments, one center and other teaching units. There are 365 faculty members and 268 full-time teachers, of which 46% are senior professional titles, 63% are masters or above, and 77% are double-qualified teachers. The school also hires well-known preschool education experts from Beijing Normal University, East China Normal University, Nanjing Normal University, Taiwan Hsinchu University of Education, Taichung University of Education and other universities as guest professors.
