Suzhou Centennial Vocational College is the first Sino-foreign cooperatively-run higher vocational college that was jointly organized by Suzhou University of Science and Technology and Centennial Institute of Technology in Canada, approved by the People's Government of Jiangsu Province and officially filed by the Ministry of Education. Its predecessor was the Suzhou Port University Sipei Vocational College of Science and Technology, founded in 2005, and it has a history of 13 years. The college has inherited the past, innovated and developed, and is making strides towards the domestic first-class goal of Sino-foreign cooperation in running schools.
The college currently has 17 majors, of which 5 majors are linked to the Centennial Institute of Technology in Canada, and the "quadruple doubles" (double admission, double status, double training, double diploma) are implemented. Students who have obtained a college diploma and meet the requirements can enter Canada Undergraduate at Centennial Institute of Technology or related international alliance colleges and universities.
The college adheres to the "student-oriented" concept and provides full service to students. Adopt the international approach of socialization of board and lodging to improve students' self-reliance, adopt the mode of Chinese and foreign joint training to ensure the quality of education, adopt measures to strengthen English teaching to expand students’ international vision, and adopt the method of Chinese and foreign students in the same school to optimize The international cultural atmosphere of students adopts the method of integrating production and education with school-enterprise cooperation to enhance students' application skills and employment opportunities, and adopts the opening of the channel to connect with domestic and foreign universities to realize the students' dream of upgrading.
The college is located in the Dushu Lake Science and Education Innovation Zone in Suzhou Industrial Park, the only internationalization demonstration area of higher education approved by the Ministry of Education. The famous Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University is next to the college, as well as the Suzhou Graduate School of University of Science and Technology of China and Renmin University of China. The Institute of International College, the Graduate School of Nanjing University, the Graduate School of Southeast University, Soochow University, and the National University of Singapore Suzhou Graduate School are all gathered on this feng shui treasure land.
