Suzhou Vocational and Technical College of Economics and Trade is located in Suzhou, a famous historical and cultural city known as the "paradise on earth". It is close to the Shanghang Mountain and Shihu scenic spots.
The college is a public full-time higher vocational college affiliated to the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education. It was established in 2003 from the merger of the former Jiangsu Provincial Silk School and Jiangsu Suzhou Commercial School, two state-level key secondary schools. There are currently 11,152 students and 526 faculty members. It covers an area of 820 acres and has a building area of nearly 270,000 square meters. There are 8 secondary teaching units such as the School of E-commerce and Logistics and the School of Information Technology.
