Applied Technology College of Soochow University (Applied Technology College of Soochow University) is located in Zhouzhuang, Kunshan, China’s first water town, 20 kilometers away from the Dushu Lake campus of Soochow University, adjacent to Suzhou Industrial Park, Kunshan Economic and Technological Development Zone, Huaqiao International Business City and Wujiang High-tech Development Zone. College was established in November 1997. In 2005, it was restructured into an independent college at the undergraduate level organized by Soochow University, a national "double first-class" construction university and a key comprehensive university in Jiangsu Province. The college has colleges of engineering, business colleges, fashion colleges, ZTE Telecommunications College, and overseas education colleges. It has a national vocational skills appraisal institute, an applied technology education institute, and has been approved as an international service outsourcing talent training base in Jiangsu Province. Jiangsu Province Service Outsourcing Talent Training Pilot University, Jiangsu Province E-commerce Talent Training Base, etc., now has 32 undergraduate majors, with more than 8,000 students, and more than 60% of teachers with intermediate and senior titles of various courses. In the past ten years, students have won more than 320 awards in national and provincial professional skills and discipline competitions, including more than 30 national awards such as the National University Student Electronic Design Competition. In the past five years, the employment rate of graduates has exceeded 96% for consecutive years, and the contracted employment rate has been above 94%. The college actively expands international exchanges, and has cooperated with universities in the United States, Britain, Germany, South Korea, Japan and other countries in running schools, outstanding students going abroad for exchanges, and studying for double degrees, master's degrees and other projects.
