Dating back to 1912, the founder of Chinese art education, Mr. Liu Haisu, founded the Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts. In 1930, it was renamed the Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts. In 1967, it moved to No. 15 Huju North Road, Nanjing.
