Hunan Vocational and Technical College of Posts and Telecommunications

Hunan Post and Telecommunications Vocational and Technical College is a public, full-time general college. Its predecessor is Hunan Post and Telecommunications School. It was founded in 1958, upgraded to Changsha Telecommunications Vocational and Technical College in 2001, and renamed Hunan Post and Telecommunications Vocational and Technical College in 2012. The college is hosted by China Telecom, and the education business is managed by the Provincial Department of Education. The college has been successively rated as "Hunan Province Civilized Colleges", "Hunan Province Safe Colleges", "Hunan Province Garden-style Units", became a model (backbone) higher vocational college in Hunan Province in 2011, and was shortlisted for the National Modern Apprenticeship Pilot Program in 2018 unit.


The college is located at No. 128 Shahu Street, Nanhu Road, Tianxin District, Changsha. It covers an area of 254,100 square meters, with a total fixed asset value of 150 million yuan. There are more than 300 faculty members and more than 4,500 full-time students. The college has opened 21 majors and directions in communication technology, optical communication technology, mobile communication technology, e-commerce, marketing, etc., forming a "strengthening communication technology professional group, optimizing the mobile Internet professional group, and realizing the communication service management professional group. The college currently has 2 key majors and 1 training base supported by the central government; 3 provincial-level teaching reform pilot majors and 3 provincial-level training bases; e-commerce major is listed as a provincial-level high-level talent training link In the pilot project, three majors including mobile communication technology, optical communication technology, and telecommunications service and management will set up modern apprenticeship pilot classes. In recent years, students have won 30 national honors and 76 provincial honors in various professional skill competitions at all levels. The college and China Communications Services Hunan Science and Technology Training Company have one school and two licenses, which can undertake multiple levels and forms of training and a certain scale of academic education.
