Changsha Health Vocational College is a full-time public college run by the Changsha Municipal People's Government. Its predecessor was the state-level key technical secondary school established in 1958—Changsha Municipal Health School. In March 2011, the Hunan Provincial People's Government approved the promotion to Changsha Health Vocational College, and it was filed with the Ministry of Education in May 2011. Among them, the health care professional group and the primary medical service professional group are the first-class specialty groups of higher vocational education in Hunan Province. Nursing and dental technology are majors supported by the central government to improve the development capabilities of the professional service industry. Nursing has been included in the national training base for shortage of talents and the national demonstration professional point of health service in vocational colleges. Stomatology was selected as the Hunan Provincial Teaching Resource Bank Construction Project. The specialty of stomatology technology is a cooperative production practice training base project of higher vocational schools and enterprises in Hunan Province.
